"It was a perfect day to be at Wyldwoods in Westborough and learn about Herb Gathering and the Lunar Calendar. Chris Marano, Master Herbalist provided wonderful insights and common sense thinking when 'Wild Crafting.' His introduction talking of his experiences with the Native Traditions and Chinese therapies was very informative and discussing in detail how the Lunar Calendar has an effect on trees, plants and flowers when planning to harvest.
The information provided to us before and during our walk around 'Wyldwoods' was great and even the Novice Gardener/Green Witch would be comfortable gathering herbs. Touching upon the medicinal uses and the magical properties of the local plants was very interesting; from the Hawthorne leaves use of softening the heart, to making Yarrow tea, and of course the identification of Poison Ivy.
This was a fabulous way to spend a Sunday afternoon with wonderful people, flora and fauna. I am sure all who attended look forward to more events at the Wyldwoods in Westborough and Chris Marano."
